IT infrastructure specialist Gyrocom has become an Ubuntu partner. It will deliver Canonical products Ubuntu Advantage, Ubuntu OpenStack, BootStack to its EMEA customers as part of its mission to drive efficiency, simplify and automate IT infrastructure.

Graham Brown, Gyrocom’s MD comments, “This partnership is key in Gyrocom’s toolkit uniquely positioning us to enable next-generation IT. We’ve spent considerable time researching and understanding the new IT landscape. We have selectively partnered with only those who share our philosophy, and demonstrate innovation and vision. We’ve thrown away the old handbook of what we can expect from IT infrastructure. Today the mantra is; make what you have as efficient as you can, converge the infrastructure model to make things simpler, then automate the infrastructure delivery. Partnering with Canonical, using their OpenStack, Juju and MAAS tools, enables Gyrocom to deliver an industry leading infrastructure automation capability.”

Marcin Kierdelewicz, Alliance Director at Canonical said, “Ubuntu OpenStack is the most popular choice for scale out cloud today. Our ecosystem ensures the greatest interoperability of components in OpenStack, giving customers choice and flexibility. Gyrocom can now provide its customers with best-of-breed cloud, delivered by local experts, and often within few days.”
